Discovery Phase
45 mins - Together, we'll do a deep dive into your goals as a brand, your aspirations for the product, and the style/design aesthetic you're looking to achieve. We will also aim to outline the exact product specs and requirements. We will explore some potential directions and discuss your challenges/niche/potential opportunities.
Packaging Research
Connor will draft an info architecture document, which will outline exact requirements for the product label, specs, layout requirements, and copy requirements. If you don't have the final copy/text at this stage, we'll use placeholder copy as a way to set a general standard for the length of copy.
Packaging Research
Half a day - Based on the information collected on the discovery call, Connor will collect information about your market and competitors to make sure the creative directions he develops are well-informed and based on a strategy that can stand out in your market.
Concept Development
1-2 days - After researching, Connor will dive right into building three separate creative directions for your product label. He will put together three mood boards and rough sketches/mockups to define three design/creative directions for you to choose from. You'll end up choosing one direction.
Presentation
30 mins - Connor will present all three directions, explaining the aesthetic, methods, and reasons for each. After he presents, you're welcome to ask questions and give feedback. The goal of this presentation is to APPROVE one design direction.
Design Round
1-2 days - With your approved creative direction and information architecture, it's time to begin the label design! Connor will first design a rough draft of the label and present int three feedback sessions. Each time, the designs will get more refined, with the final revision completely designed to spec and ready to shop to be printed on the product.
Final Revisions
You will have an opportunity to provide another round of final feedback, mostly to iron out any logistical copy requirements or changes submitted by your legal team. Connor will make final revisions based on this feedback and deliver the final label designs to spec! Wohoo!
